Yep, I fitted mine with the front wheel off without too much trouble. I have quite a bit of seat tube exposed so it was a bit awkward. Remove both wheels and it'll go easily. The fact the i3 is fundamentally different is exactly my point. It is a good design for EV, with efficiency as the prime focus (hence weight reduction and skinny tyres).
