Re: Aerodynamic simulation
Look good and your result seems plausible compared to claims from other brands. On top of the aerodynamic gain you can add a bit of drivetrain efficiency gain - less power at speed = lower losses in electrical, mechanical and rolling resistance. It always a positive (or negative) spiral effect on su...

Re: Aerodynamic simulation
Looks like you need a much larger boundary box for the simulation to be representative. You need effectively infinite headspace to simulate airflow over the car.

Re: Sudden drop in charge
Thanks for replies. Good food for thought. Car has been charged to 100% through the winter but rarely been below 40%. As the E was sitting at 100% this morning I couldn't resist testing if it should be reoccurring. Emptied the battery as fast as possible up and down the motorway (lots of roadwork ke...

Sudden drop in charge
Yesterday on the motorway home, we were estimated to arrive with 10% charge. However from 15% the charge started dropping rapidly and about 2km later we were down to 10%. Next second it dropped to 5% in one go :o  Not knowing if it would happen again and if we would be stranded on the motorwa...

Re: Charge to 80% or 100%?
We charge to 100% at the moment. Battery degradation is a chemical process speeded up by heat. During summer we reduce charging limit to 80 or 90% to take ekstra care of the battery.

Re: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 vs e-Primacy Tyres (20% better efficiency?)
Thanks for sharing your experience. I have a similar experience changing to Brigdestone lm005 winter tires - about 15% better range so the PS4S are definitely no Eco tire. My other EV (Kia EV6 GT) came with same tire and returns similar benefit when changing to winters (Contis). The PS4S of the Kia ...

Re: Panasonic 12v OE battery testing.
Batteries of all sorts really don't like being fully depleted. Same goes for Li-Ion. Thas why it has a buffer. If your batteri depletes from 'normal use' you should check where the power goes. You could have a poor chassis connection or similar. We got one of the first Es had never had an issue with...

Re: Side Mirrors in the dark
Camera mirrors in the E are not perfect. Quite pixelated, especially in the dark. I have come to the conclusion that if I can see that there is a vehicle, then that's sufficient information 😉 Comming from the E I am more often shocked of how poor visibility is in normal mirrors (water, fog, dirt on ...
