Re: Road Departure Mitigation
I support everyone's right to be able to switch RDM off permanently, irrespective of my personal experience of it to date. I suspect that the reason we can't is due to the governing safety bodies that rate car safety and the resultant Euro NCAP ratings. Therefore by turning it off are we then going...

Re: Accuracy of public chargers
Good question. I would assume all would bill based on what has been measured to have left the charger, but I seem to remember some provider billing only for what the car received. I think that was a on a Tesla Bjorn video a while back, could be mistaking things. As to how accurate the reading is, I ...

Re: Road Departure Mitigation
I can’t speak for Honda, but I know from experience with other manufacturers, that dealer feedback (if it gets back to the factory) is taken very seriously by the engineers in charge if there is a high enough percentage of complaints. At the moment with only a few dozen to maybe 3 figures sold in ea...

Re: Road Departure Mitigation
Just to add to the conversation, I’ve had RDM try and send me into the oncoming lane also. I’ll have to get used to turning off each day until it can be voluntarily permanently disabled. I’ll bring it up with the dealer so they can send the feedback to Honda. I really hope this will be picked up and...

Re: Green flash number plates from 1sr September
People tend to notice things that are different, even something as subtle as a green flash on a number plate will prompt questions among some. I know what you mean about number plates, I have zero interest in them, but when I lived in London a while back, I noticed what I later learned were embassy ...

Re: Green flash number plates from 1sr September
One of the reasons for green plates was supposed to be for fire crews easily identifying vehicles with HV systems. Obviously in a massive crash both plates could find themselves away from the car, but that may also expose bright orange wires to help ID the power source. I see an advantage in them be...

Re: OBDII
If anyone can be bothered, can sniffing will allow you to work out the pids but it’s a time consuming process I will check about Can Sniffing when I have some time but I think it is the same as Torque scan, you need to guess the data that you get because it will not be labelled. It’s a very laborio...

Re: Evie Blue has arrived
Here's hoping I get a goodie bag. The car looks great!
@londiniumperson, just seen the cups on ebay, I couldn't believe the pictures of them are taken in the Honda showroom. It takes the piss somewhat.

Re: Charge to 80% or 100%?
If the battery capacity is guaranteed for 8 years to 70%, it should be guaranteed to 70% of 35.5kWh, as @londiniumperson suggests as it's the advertised capacity. I honestly don't know what is best for the battery, but conventional wisdom of NCM battery chemistry is to keep is as close to 20-80% as ...
