Re: 12V battery failure
My 2017 Leaf tops up the 12v battery when the car detects a dip in voltage. It’ll charge it up even when left parked in my driveway. Makes sense given the common 12v battery dying scenario is when a car is left unused for a while in the winter...

Re: Charge in the rain
My wife has large saggy breasts, I'm happy to rent her out when it's raining to prevent any water ingress whilst charging....? Username checks out. I would say an important point is being missed in this thread. As an engineer myself, design flaws never rear their head immediately and the real test ...

Trying to source charge yellow touch up paint
Put a little scratch on the edge of my bonnet thanks to lifting the wiper too much.
Anyone know where I can get a touch up pen or something similar.

Re: Brake dust
for everyone’s information, just in case you were as silly as I was: For the first month of owning my E, I thought it was using regen when it wasn’t activated at all and I was manually applying the regen by having to apply it every time you want to brake using the steering pedals. Not only is it ted...

Re: Charge port cover ideas
With the days becoming rainier (in the U.K.) I’m not enthusiastic about the amount of water I find in the charge port area but I’m not going to run out and order an official cover. Has anyone come up with a clever alternative of their own? :) Having had our open for most of the autumn (with all the...

Re: Average energy usage during cold weather
I’ve started relying on the seat heater more now and I avoided setting the pre warming mode on the phone app to “warmer”. Now my energy use seems a bit better.
The “warmer” pre climate really zapped those miles.

Re: At 80% charge what range is yours showing
To increase the range change your driving style, no firmware will increase the range. Also range at 80% will never show you the same. It depends on the last couple of trips effeciency to calculate the range. Some Tesla models got a range increase from over the air firmware updates earlier this year.

Re: Charge port cover ideas
I decided to order an official cover. Ordered one from Cox Motor Parts via their website, they seem very efficient. I see they're currently charging £89.25 (and free delivery) which is a bit more reasonable than the previous price I saw of £177. Here's the link Cox Motor Parts . Yea relatively spea...

Re: 16 v 17 inch wheels, also when to buy?
Wait a year or 5. The longer the less money you need to spend. If saving a few pennies is so important a Honda E I probably the least sensible choice at the moment. If you ever need to go 100+km range is a topic so 16s may be a benefit, but you can always buy another set of wheels so get the one yo...
