Re: Ecobest 2021 results
If all the cars have completed the controlled WLTP, why did the results vary so much when all driven together? Is there a standard for stating battery size? Would appear some manufactures use full and some useable. May explain some of the figures obtained. Would it not be easier to state range @30/5...

Re: Sheffield to Harrogate
Rickwookie is correct, the % reading is non linear, 100-0% is larger than 50-0%.
The handbook advises to immediately charge @0%, so going below may have warrenty implications.

All charge points should be contactless, nice and simple just like filling an ice vehicle.

Re: 101 miles achieved
Keithr,
Have you ever proved the theory of 140 miles to 0% @4.5? or to low %
Mine did 110 miles @4.1Kw/m and was done to 5%, it would also appear 50-0% is smaller than 100-50%.

Re: Range + running to stop
Hi, I ran my down from 100% to 2% (107 miles@ 3.8m/Kw), turtle light came on at 106 miles. Never a good idea to totally drain the battery until the software stops you (unless in a curtesy car). Just reading through thread the theory of the mini being lower and the higher speed having an effect. My c...

Re: Predicted Range
Does the predicated range matter?
The car cannot know if you are going to drive like miss Daisy or like you stole it. Your route could be up a mountain.
Over a full charge 0% will appear @approx 100 miles if averaging 3.5 m/kW and 130 @4.8 m/kW.
All you need to know.

Re: Active cooling system
I'm with milligoon, why is this document to be believed. 25- 35 C seems too higher temperature range. At 35 C my leaf would already be limiting fast charging. In normal use it never approaches 35 C according to leafspy. Think about the amount of energy required to heat up the 350kg battery, not insi...

Re: Active cooling system
Good Honda have designed a system to protect the battery from extreme temperatures. If the operational window is as swisschris post, would explain why cooler climates produce such poor efficiency, energy used to drive battery temp into operational window at expense of range.
