Re: Honda CR-V Gen.4. 2018 Garmin Maps install error

I've done the Garmin USB update on the wifes civic twice and once on the e and didn't have an issue. I think it might be sensitive to the memory card and the filesystem. If you can, try differing memory cards or format techniques (beware that many amazon USB media are fake/unreliable). If that fails...

Re: 12V battery issues

The oe battery is crap. I drop tested it to 10.5v at 2.25amps and it only gave me about 19ah instead of the 45ah rated. It was only 2 and bit years from registration, so perhaps 3 or 4 years old in total.

Re: Wheel Alignment Perimeter

After a while using the Primacy 2 tyres (not the e version) i find them too hard for the E, and the ride is compromised. At first I didn't notice it too much, but after 12/24months the tyres harden up a little bit, and the ride is quite jittery. Next time I will go for some softer tyres just to get ...

Re: Dead Honda e

I've had 0 problems since fitting the larger 65ah yuasa battery. Max voltage is over 13v (the car will not charge the 12v and bring this down during use) and the lowest after 2 weeks of sitting idle whilst on holiday (not plugged into the mains) was 12.41v so the car wasn't flat and I could get into...

Re: 12V battery issues

It will be interesting to see if you observe the same charging cycles as I do. Since I never had the bm2 on the original/defunct battery, I don't have a 'normal' to compare to. The oversize battery in mine shouldn't affect it that much, but I think the move to the yuasa enhanced lead acid will show ...

Re: 12V battery issues

Just to add, I recently went on holiday for 2 weeks, and was pleasantly surprised to find the e 12v wasn't flat when I got home. It was not plugged into the mains. When I unlocked / locked with the fob (to check if it was dead or not), I later checked the BM2 and noticed that this action initiated f...

Re: Help - warning lights all over dash

The brake servo issue had a long thread on the Jazz forum, where several people had issues and charged up to 2 grand by dealers to replace, some got a part contribution from Honda UK, and there was a poor dealer experience or two, and a lot of detail on the Japan recall, and questions why we should...

Re: Unable to start Honda e

I too use the auto lock/unlock , and rarely press any button - but I replaced one of the batteries after getting the warning one day. Perhaps they were just cheap cells or maybe I sat on it one day and it transmitted a lot...

Re: Failed brake servo/pedal simulator - a how-to DIY fix

Excellent write up, thanks for taking the time to do so. It's a little disappointing that ECU testing didn't have a jig to test it (I guess its relatively new component/ecu) , it would have been great if they could have replaced the sensors or at least one of them. The pressure sensor should be rela...

Re: Boot Lock Release Switch [Rear Boot Panels Disassembly]

I have used amayama a few times to get genuine parts, sometimes the japanese price is very favourable compared to UK pricing. https://www.amayama.com/en/part/honda/74810t1wa01 They don't seem to have all the newer honda catalogue listings, so even genuine part numbers for the E, most will not look u...
