Re: Water drainage around charging port
Given the weather over here, my e sometimes charges outside when it's raining or snowing. The two drain holes in the image below are at the lowest point in the charge point's recess, and they drain out to the ground behind the front structure and slam panel of the car. Even in torrential rain, or af...

Re: E:ny1 for a day
You do notice that the e:Ny1 is a 'converted' ICE. I don't think the e:Ny1 is a converted ICE though. I know it looks just like the HR-V but I don't think it actually has anything in common with the HRV. I think it's either a new electric platform or based on something Chinese. Yep, it's based on t...

Re: 12v Battery Best Practices
I'm actually thinking of buying one of those belt buckle alarm stoppers just for this, so I can leave the belt unplugged and just slot that in when I'm washing the car or cleaning the interior. I can say with certainty that the system will charge the 12v even in accessory mode. I thought that would...

Re: 12v Battery Best Practices
The phantom drain - we don't know what causes it. System updates pushed out but no WiFi signal (the update packages are not pulled OTA by TCU, just the notification/instruction) is likely 1 cause but not the main one. Dodgy microswitches or door handle/latch mechanism is likely to be another. Hard ...

Re: 12v Battery Best Practices
I had zero issues with the factory 12v battery for close to a year, until like a week or two ago, when I left the lights on and it ran flat. After that, I decided to change it out for a Yuasa 5053 as a replacement, as recommended by a lot of other owners of the e. Honestly, if I hadn't been an idiot...

Re: Dream Automotive UK
It seems like this is pretty much abandoned, sadly.
They put together four videos on the e, three on their own car and one installing a lowering kit on a customer car, after that it seems that there's nothing going on.

Re: Sudden drop in charge
I suspect it's to scare drivers into charging before they do actually run out of charge and end up stranded. BTW - If you breakdown on a road in the UK due to an empty traction battery, then the police can and have charged (no pun intended) EV drivers as they consider this an offence. Strangely I'v...

Re: 12V battery issues
Also has a little black window on the top, which glows Green while charging. And as you can see from Label, it should indicate if Battery needs a charge or replacement. This doesn't glow while charging. Look down inside it. It basically just has a little green ball it that denotes battery health. I...

Re: 12V battery issues
What is the model number please, and I assume it fits with no problem? Panasonic was 45Ah 400A, from picture it looks like 50 /450? It's a Yuasa 5000 series - YBX5053. 450A 50Ah. Seems that most people who've had a flat battery with the original Panasonic cell (400A - 45Ah) have upgraded to this. M...

Re: Unable to start Honda e
My 12v battery went flat a couple of days back because I was a moron and left my lights on. I had all sorts of strange behavior with my lights, but the behavior you're describing with your start button was one of the things that happened with my car. Like many others on these forums, can't recommend...
