Re: Type 2 vs CCS charging speeds
Yikes, so it's not even constant, let alone consistent. ~60% over 12 hours is quite scary.

Re: Type 2 vs CCS charging speeds
Is the charging speed consistent when using a three pin plug or home charging point? I noticed in Bjørn's video that CCS charging drops to 43 kW at 20% capacity, then drops again three or four more times.

Type 2 vs CCS charging speeds
I apologise if this is probably a bit of a "new boy" question, but I want to make sure I've got the right end of the stick. From what I've read these are the charging speeds of the two charger types: Type 2 6.6 kW CCS 56 kW Source I assume this means, in theory, it doesn't matter if it's p...

Re: Worst case scenario range
Not a bad idea. Then I can try to calculate a projected range from that.londiniumperson wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 3:38 pm @Thundarian
How about taking the e for a run at the speeds you typically drive at and checking the efficiency?
Judging from what I've been reading, it seems the ev-database figures seem quite accurate.

Re: Worst case scenario range
It all depends on your right foot. If you are someone who always gives full throttle, which I was, you will not even get 70 miles on a full charge. This is what worries me. I do have a "heavy foot". If I was going down the motorway at 70/80 miles an hour, with the heating on, and it's aro...

Worst case scenario range
I'm trying to figure out if I would be able to make it to Heathrow on one charge.
ev-database.uk says that the "hightway - cold weather" range is 70 miles. Is this the lowest it could be? At least for the first few years, as I know range drops over time.

What if your old phone is lost, stolen, or "bricked"? Would you just have to start everything from scratch?

Re: Interesting issue.
Does this mean if you were to leave the car unused for a month or so, you'd need to plug in not just the main charging cable, but another one connected to the 12V battery to stop it going flat?
I don't drive very often, so I keep my current petrol car's battery plugged in all the time.

Charge to 80% or 100%?
I've read in several places over the last few years that charging an electric car over 80% is bad for the health of the battery, and should only be done rarely. Since the Honda e doesn't have a very large battery capacity, this lowers the already low range down even further. For instance, if work is...
