A City Car?

Thinking back to the original launch, and many reviews, the Honda e has always been labelled a City Car, which no doubt is how Honda conceived it. Especially in Japan. But I'm wondering where most owners spend their time. Their normal, daily use, perhaps commuting to and from work. So let’s share ou...

Re: Turn of Back Interior Lights?

I had this happen once, and needed the manual to locate rear switch. Don't often have rear seat passengers, but if they are young, they will play/try stuff.

CR2032 Small but essential component

After 2.5 years of use the battery in my Keyless Remote was dying. The warning light and alarm on the dash reminded me just how essential the keyfob is, and that small battery inside. Unfortunately I have “mislaid” my second Keyless Remote for longer than I care to remember. Still hoping I will find...

Re: Best 12V Battery Charger

That's the one that I have which replaced my 30+ yr old battery charger. At the time that I got mine, over 7 years ago that model was always top in reviews and the best value for money. One advantage is that there are various accessories, for example extension leads or leads for permanent attachmen...

Best 12V Battery Charger

Many posts have mentioned you Guys often own a CTEK battery charger . Would like to know which model you use, and hence which I should invest in. Think its time to replace my Halfords basic charger. My 12V only reached 87% SoC after 20 hours of charging. So used Granny to charge car's High Voltage a...

Re: Something new after 1st Service?

Can confirm what EEEE says above. As long as you have enough charge in your 12V battery to wake up i.e. power up your car, the HV will immediately start charging your 12V battery. So if you haven’t used your car for a couple of days or more, I suggest you don't immediately drive off, esp. if you nee...

Re: Hi all

I normally recharge to 80% at home*. Sometimes vary to 85 or 90. If planning a long run I will charge to 95 or maybe 100%. We live high up, so 95% allows for some regen top up. Manual says charge to 100% occasionally. If charging for free @tesco I can often top up to 98/99/100% away from home on 7kW...

Re: Consumption at 10k

Mileage approaching 18k and I try to reset Trip A every 1000 miles. So these are my latest stats. Dated 11 September. Use One Pedal mode nearly all the time. Little “high speed” motorway driving, and hardly any night driving. I find headlights increase energy consumption noticeably. Little aircon. S...

Just saw this at a Honda Dealer today. Eye watering price for a Demonstrator! So won’t be ordering a new one. No doubt price will be nearer to £40k!

Re: Citroen oli concept

Surprised by the comments here. Ok, I’m old. Can remember when most cars weighed less than a ton*. Reducing weight is important to improve efficiency, which should be a key factor for all of us. But we seemed to have lost sight of that years ago. Cars have got so much bigger, and heavier, and so hav...
