Re: Media interface

I just skimmed through but couldn't find any mention of Android Auto wireless, can anyone confirm that it is/isn't on the E?

Re: How did the Fiat 500E squeeze a 42kWh battery but the E can only squeeze 35.5kWh?

I don't think size is the issue, they just picked that size because of cost and availability. I don't know who makes the battery but it seems to be the same one used by Mazda, it's not a Honda part. That's rather interesting didn't know about that. I wonder if it's the same battery used in the new ...

How did the Fiat 500E squeeze a 42kWh battery but the E can only squeeze 35.5kWh?

Somewhat of a rant post but I just realized that the Fiat 500E can squeeze a 42kwh battery into that dinky shape...that's good for 199 miles an even better range spot for some. https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/LBGgL/s4/nuova-fiat-500-quella-elettrica.jpg https://uk.motor1.com/news/402147/new-fiat-5...

Re: Insurance Quotes

Not to worry that was the price for the advance. I'm not sure what happened but they said on the phone that they didn't know anything about the E and the online quote wasn't sure how to handle it. Someone manually rang him back and updated him the actual cost I'd probably think the regular Honda E w...

Re: Insurance Quotes

I just had a very cool update from my friend with the £4.3k quote. Turns out the insurer wasn't entirely certain on the car so put it through as generic X based quote car. When they found out it has under 150bhp and all the safety gear that figure just dropped to a cooler £1,100 which okay is still ...

Re: Insurance Quotes

That does seem like a lot, but remember it's a £29k brand new car and 7000 miles is a lot of pleasure. 135 miles a week in fact. Pleasure driving is more risky than the commute, less familiar roads etc. Even with 4000 miles, it only dropped to £4300 so really not much difference. He probably does a...

Re: Insurance Quotes

I noticed this which was interesting. A Honda E advance is nearly 1/2 the insurance group of a standard tesla model 3. The highest group for insurance is 50 for reference. Tesla insurance is also very finicky and many insurers refuse insurance on Teslas. Especially for those under 40 https://i.imgur...

Re: Honda e - Type R

Well if it had around the 170-mile range and maybe a crisp respectable 180-200bhp margin I would throw myself at it. If it isn't possible -I'd be down for an R styling pack for the Honda E or some "limited/special" edition versions maybe 1000 made with the colour and body parts.

Re: Honda e Owner's Manual now online!

...The law was going to change so you were not allowed to turn it off....The noise the E makes isn't bad, not annoying like some cars. It's not as loud as a fossil car... I just checked after you said this and (at least) for the Hyundai Ioniq 2020 electric there is no longer a button to disable it....

Re: Honda e Owner's Manual now online!

Pretty much read the entire thing. I noticed the VESS or AVAS as Honda are calling it cannot be disabled which has (for me) swung my instant love the E. Don't get me wrong it's important in crowded places and car parks - but it's not helpful in constant traffic where pedestrians are minimized or no-...
