EEEE: agree - car washing seems a likely culprit - we've had the window thing twice now - both after a car wash....
Seems like someone on the eteam didn't do an adequate job of IP assessment.

Re: Battery Doesn't Charge Past 97%
Shhhyawn; yes, the charge-rate declines markedly approaching 90% and more rapidly as 100% nears. It's very non-linear. I'm sure there are some previous threads on the subject on this forum; many e-ers are quite tech-savvy and on-the-ball. Could you put it on a 'granny' for an hour or 2 when it gets ...

Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK
igb nails it. the key here is that ccs is an agreed standard which, if Tesla are selling iaw (and they are, by default, when a 'customer' pays to use their equipment) CCS 1/2, then their handshaking and poer management should comply with the requirements - which are comprehensive. Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK

Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK
Haven't used a tesla charger, but the app start screen does state "Plug in then select stall"... - is it a sequencing issue or is that requirement irrelevant? (I haven't yet read ISO/IEC 15118, but i'd expect it to be fairly comprehensive in speccing the comms protocols etc.)

Re: Charge port glass lid shattered….
thanks for those updates, smucker. OK, yes, the 'push-down' force application point providing the stress-raiser for crack initiation. The rate at which tempered glass 'fails' depends somewhat on the internal stresses within the glass at manufacture: Is th port lid a lamination of two layers of tempe...
