Re: UK arrival date

Excellent. How was your drive? Compared to other EVs and ICE vehicles I will test if it will coast I will enquire about the fast charging. I wonder if this will be impacted by the s/w update? I hope we don’t have to return to the dealership to s/w updates. They can be done over the air. I will ask ...

Re: UK arrival date

I've just got back from a test drive this morning. They said that my order was the only one that they found as showing with a July delivery date whereas the others on the system are showing August, as a result he wants a me to sign the final paperwork by the end of this week, supposedly my car's in ...

Re: Range and charging rate.

The Yokohama Bluearth & Michelin Pilot Sport 4 are two different types of tyre. The Yokohama Bluearth is biased towards energy saving, long mileage and wet grip performance. Whereas the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is a high performance tyre, prioritising wet grip, braking and cornering performances o...

Re: UK arrival date

Given that demo cars were available in Germany before the UK, it's a logical conclusion that customer cars will also be delivered there before the UK, so I'd suggest keeping an ear out for cars delivered outside of the UK as gauge to when we will get ours.

Re: Key Cloning

Well we're going to assume it's as vulnerable at anything else in the latest Honda range. Unless anyone has any information on if the Honda E is different? Well as the car can be unlocked using a mobile phone, then there's an additional risk over and above the rest of the Honda range as it's an add...

Re: Vauxhall Corsa e driven

You've piqued my interest in the Corsa e, it may have a larger capacity battery, but there are too many issues that tarnish it for me: 1) It's a Vauxhall and I've had bad experiences in the past with this manufacturer. 2) It's missing a lot of the tech that the Honda e has. 3) It's competing with th...

Re: Order update

It sounds like they are delivering demo cars first to see if people cancel. No point sending cars to dealers if half of them will go back I suppose. Bad for us though, no leverage for discounts. Just like every other car manufacturer does with a new car launch, irrespective of its power source. As ...

Re: High Speed Range Tests

I have noticed that article keeps refering to how the onboard computer keeps getting the kw/100km wrong, it's because they keep using 35.5kwh usable battery reference... silly people... Not only that but they only charged it to 90% at the start of the outbound trip, not 100% as shown in their calcu...

Re: Order update

I phoned my local dealer (Hendy Honda @ Portsmouth) this afternoon and have got a test drive booked for tomorrow :D
It's in Modern Steel Metallic, shame as I've ordered the Crystal Black Pearl, because it would have been nice to see it in the colour which I've ordered.

Re: If the Honda E wasn't available what other car would you choose?

I thought about it too but then I tried one. It's way too small, really low down and hard to get in and out of. I like taller cars that are comfortable. The other thing is the base model is £10k more than the Advance and 2x the price of a Leaf 40. You can get a Leaf 62 for around 30k and a Kona or ...
