Re: What apps would you like to see?

This probably seems really out of date, but does it offer a built in digital terrestrial television receiver? If not there’s always this https://thepihut.com/blogs/raspberry-pi-tutorials/how-to-stream-digital-tv-with-the-raspberry-pi-tv-hat Just put a suction cup on an aerial and stick it on the wi...

Re: What apps would you like to see?

Hopefully someone who knows what they’re talking about will correct me if I’m wrong, but if you set up a personal hotspot and get the chromecast talking through that, a chromecast app will then allow you to stream all sorts to the Honda. Apparently Amazon Prime can be tricky from what I’ve read, but...

Yes, an AppleTV.
I was hoping for something cheaper and smaller, but it may have to be that

Re: What apps would you like to see?

While I wait for my H e Your mind wanders and got me thinking, what other apps could Honda offer. You have the fish tank, so on the same peaceful theme I wonder if they'll ever offer a Zen garden? It'd be in keeping with the relaxed atmosphere the car tries to emanate. Say on a trip waiting at a ch...

Re: 3 pin Plug

Why bother? And why on a Honda E forum? Its a stretch marketing wise from Toyota, but you obviously know what they mean. And apparently you are not a fan, so just don't buy one. Why not? What does it matter that I disagree with what had been said and wrote something to counter it? This is the inter...

Please read the reply above

Perhaps I should clarify. A ‘self charging’ car as Toyota calls it, should be called a ‘slower discharging’ car, as petrol is consumed at a slower rate than a non hybrid.

Re: 3 pin Plug

Self Charging car = Push start and the battery charges even while driving without plugging it in. That is what they mean. Nobody said that there is no source of energy to charge or that is the most efficient car. You are understanding it that way. So a petrol powered battery? 'Self charging' is inc...

Re: Can you negotiate the sticker price

I think the only reason they'd discount would be to fall below WLTP fleet emissions regs. Not sure where they stand on that, however there's been a drive from Kia recently to increase production and delivery numbers of Soul EV and E Niro to the UK that could be either increased demand, although it's...

Re: 3 pin Plug

So the car replenishes energy from an external source on its own? That’s not correct. Unless you mean it converts chemical energy into electrical energy that it stores on board, but to charge it with chemical energy requires the user to fill it with petrol, therefore not self charging. I have no pow...

Re: 3 pin Plug

The internet is always the best place to argue semantics. The ‘self charging’ moniker suggests that the battery needs no outside influence to replenish its charge, that’s obviously incorrect but unfortunately there are a lot of ignorant people that see these adverts. To reduce losses in a non hybrid...
