Re: 20wk lead time

Hi all - just about to place my order with the dealer only to learn the lead time has jumped from 5 weeks up to 16-20 weeks, for “Modern Steel” it’s at the 20wk end of that range. Anyone know what has happened, are there changes in the MY21 specs? Thanks! Why not look for an ex demonstrator, they a...

Re: Rear door sticker, why?

Mine replaced a Golf 'R' Porsche Cayman was coming up to 7 years old. I would have had to spend £5K on it in the next year. New tyres, brake pads and discs, service and take out the Porsche extended warranty for another 2 years ! It probably would have cost more if the battery and exhaust needed re...

Re: Rear door sticker, why?

Neat. Another thing my car has in common with a Porsche. True: MacPherson strut suspension Rear-wheel drive, motor in the back – like a 911 50:50 weight distribution – like a Boxster Simple, minimalist aesthetics, like almost all from Zuffenhausen The Honda e has replaced a Porsche Cayman 2.7L ! Yo...

I paid for the 2 year extended warranty when I
bought the car.
I was never given that option. . .
It was relatively good value, I think it was £360.
Far cheaper than I’ve paid for extended warranty for BMW and Porsche.

Re: Long term test Review - Parkers

Why does it only get 3.5* for reliability? After clicking on the Reliability row in the 'Parkers ratings' table, it took me to another web page which at the bottom of the page says: Is it reliable? * Good reputation for Honda * But everything in the e is new * Three-year warranty It’s quite difficu...

Re: Charging by timer

As others have said there is lots of discussion elsewhere about % Charge limit. Only Charge to 100% occasionally - i.e. if you really need Max Range, or because Manual says Charge to 100% even now and again. So normally use 80/85/90 - maybe 95 - and I would vary % depending on usage. And most of us...

Re: Charging by timer

IMG_2136.JPG This worked for me with Octopus Go. Manual is counterintuitive, you're actually telling your E when not to charge. Remember to set your home position in the sat nav as the timer wants to know if the E is at home or away, plus set the required maximum% you need--- lots of discussion abo...

Re: Charging by timer

I’m on Octopus Go. I set the charge time on my Zappi wall box rather than in the car. In my case if the car is plugged in and there is more than 1.4kW of solar PV being generated, then this charges the car. Else the timer on the Zappi starts up at 12:30am to fully charge the car. For me this avoids...

Charging by timer

I can get from Octopus Go electricity cost at 5p per Kwh between 12.30 am and 04.30 am. The question is , do I set the start/end time as above or 04.30 and 12.30 am as I am setting the non - charging time or charge waiting time as Honda call it. I find the handbook very confusing and sorry if this h...

Re: Black paint code

I think the paint number is underneath the chassis number near the driver’s seat.
Put driver’s seat way back near to the driver’s door.
There is a plastic flap in the carpet and the chassis number and paint code are in there,
Good luck
