Re: Portable solar charging
Our Zappi 2 EV charger can divert surplus solar energy to charge the car, but the minimum amount of surplus required is 1.4kW, which is an EV charging standard. On a dark cloudy day, the panels never receive enough energy to produce even a fraction of the surplus required. With light cloud cover and...

EVs In The Park
Hi everyone,
Is anyone going to https://www.evitp.co.uk/ ?
If there are a few of us, perhaps we could coordinate a Honda presence there.
Looking forward to it...

Re: Hi from a California Transplant
Hi Derp, It's gone a little quiet, just wondering if you jumped in the car from the left and are still at the dealer, everything OK!?! I was also wondering brought you to our fine island. I've never been to SF and should probably head-over next time I fly over to the US. I've only been to NM once on...

Re: Air source heat pumps for home heating
Fantastic, thank you for allowing them to film at your home. Very informative. They're also clearly really knowledgeable as well; I've seen quite a few videos from Ecobubl and they're definitely 'influencing' my wallet open!

Re: Confused & Thinking of Buying
@Catcave - Can you charge from home? If you can, go for it. Rapid charging is getting better almost daily, and if you can trickle a bit round your parents (or maybe you can convince them to put in a 7kW charger!), you should be covered for all eventualities. No need to over-think it, go for it!

Re: Air source heat pumps for home heating
I'm very interested to hear how you get on in winter with this system. I've been considering disconnecting our gas supply, moving standing charges across as units of electricity, but I would still expect to pay a little more to heat our tiny home. I was looking at a Sun Amp battery because we are so...

We've not carried any passengers in the back either, yet. I'm sure a software update won't stop the belts from working! It can wait until the service.

Re: Wall box charging cable replacement; before/after
Much better Marmite. The paint will definitely thank you for it. I would still be a little cautious of the the cable picking up any grit or grime and rubbing it into the bumper, but a periodic check of the cable jacket is probably fine as long as the bumper is protected and the cable never rests on ...

Re: Finally may get my wallbox next week.
There's something really exciting and satisfying about charging with surplus solar energy, especially in the winter months. One day in January, the e's SoC was below 20% and over 2 days of nothing but solar charging, 100%! It's a bit strange watching the system export energy whilst the car is still ...
