Re: One Week on: e static - a chilled drive to heaven

The Morgan was great when I was young. Open air etc. Old Ford 1500cc engine gutless by today's standards. And the chassis/ash frame twisted. It turned heads in Canary Yellow. Obviously the S2000 was quick, esp. at high revs, and a beautiful car. A joy to own & drive, but.... the e is more refine...

One Week on: e static - a chilled drive to heaven

Today, I had to return to my Stealers in Salisbury, to tweak my eSIM and WiFi hotspot. My Honda+ app would not Generate a PIN. But it’s all sorted now. So I drove back up the Wylye valley, a route I had planned to take last week, but it didn’t happen. This ‘back road’ from Wilton, via Wylye takes yo...

Re: Road Departure Mitigation

In case others read your response, Lane Assist is a different feature, and can easily be switched on or off from button on steering wheel. I'm still learning.

But if we all agree RDM is a pain, maybe we can persuade Honda to do a software update. So once it is switched off, it remains in that state.

Re: Start/End charge time.

Thanks - I hadn't realised you could switch Option. Not stated in Manual. It seems easier to set the Time Interval you want it to Charge. Default setting does seems confusing (the time range you don't want to charge).

Re: Climate control - Auto mode, recirculation and A/C on - strange..

I haven't used Auto setting, but I think the car knows best, so relax and let Auto do its thing. Once the interior reaches desired temp, I think you will find Recirc will switch off. It's very warm outside your car, and hence it only wants to cool the air “locked inside”.

Hope this helps.

Re: What consumption do you get?

My rough guide is 1% per Mile normal A & B roads 30, 40, 50 mph (not motorway speeds). I’m getting 4m/kWh easily on Day Out trips of 40-50 miles. Sometimes 4.4 or better. I use One Pedal mode a lot, and max 3 bars regen hills. We live high up. Also set up Auto Brake function on “Handbrake” which...

Road Departure Mitigation

Ok, so there is not that much wrong with an e. The advance does come fully loaded with lots of tech, which will no doubt prove useful over time. But there is one Safety Feature that stands out. And it loves to flash up warnings at critical moments. At first I thought the icon was “a Monkey covering ...

First Drive: taking it home

One Pedal driving is easy & fun. Sport (Fun) mode helps you drain the battery faster, but with zero emissions, who cares. This car was designed and built to be driven. And it loves to escape from its City limits.

Test Drive - 30 July 2020

The City Car escapes from Salisbury, not for long. But hey roll on next week.
My son thinks this interior shot is cool, so I have added. Nice to see one without the screens on I guess.

Hi, from SW Wiltshire - Andrew

It's been awhile since Reservations opened May 2019, and my order agreed in September. I was sold when I first saw the 'e' in London at Design Museum, July 2019. I was the first member of the public to get in to see it. And for about 10-15 mins I was on my own, checking it out. I was struck by now b...
