If the car is charging then the 12V battey is also charged at 13.3V by the DC/DC converter. Once the battery pack reaches 100% and charging stops, then the trickle charging of the 12V battery also stops.

I'm in the UK and my car has correctly adjusted for DST 4 times since I bought the car. It works perfectly.

I would guess that the frameless windows might be annoying in such a cold climate, if the windows keep freezing to the door rubbers so that the windows can't move down when you open the door (and maybe that stops the door being opened?).
