Re: Breaking & recuperation
The way I thought it was explained: 3-4 levels of brake recuperation controlled by paddles on steering wheel. This only uses the motor in reverse to charge batteries Press the one peddle button drive button on centre console. Thus had 3-4 levels as well. But thus time the brakes will also be applied...

Honda e tech into other Hondas?
The screens, cameras, apps and technology in the Honda e look fab. One reason I want one. But will the app and technology be rolled out to other Hondas? The reason I ask is continuing development and enhancement. If the app and tech only stay on the e, Honda will have a job justifying the investment...

Re: Media interface
Just watched a YouTube video that showed the screen with a button saying “search for charge stations”. This is obviously important for an EV. But still does not answer my key question: when planning a longer route, does the e show charging stations along the route? Like a Tesla

Re: non-zero-emissions cars to be banned in UK by 2035
Couldn’t agree more. All the moaning in the press about no plan and only a sound bite - did JFK set out a detailed plan to get to the moon by the end of the decade? Did Churchill give a detailed approach to fighting them on the beaches? Nooo. This drives the market and manufacturing in the right dir...

Re: Media interface
Yes that is good news about wireless Apple CarPlay
Not sure I side with the ABC charge philosophy - better for battery life and Manhattan only charge your phone to 80% and down to 20% or so. Likewise I’ve read a similar approach for EVs - only fully charge if gouts long way

I think the 4.3m vs 8.6m refers to radius vs diameter of the circle

I was lucky enough to be invited by Honda UK to attend the Festival of Speed on July 5th. At a closed event, 20 ticket winners were allowed to crawl over the Honda e

Greetings
Julian here from Worcestershire. My Honda e on order. Advance model. I’ve selected blue. 17” wheels
Will replace my Mini JCW
Car will be garaged. I need to sort out a second charge point (we have a Mini Countryman PHEV). I’m interested in a vehicle to grid solution.

Re: Wheels!
I suppose size matter and I can understand wider tyre = greater rolling resistance and poorer aerodynamics.
I do prefer the 17” wheel look. And all the nonsense about range not long enough does not impact me
