Hi guys,
I’m trying to charge my Honda on a 22kw charger But the cable dont lock it and start charging. The side of the cable to the charger lock and it show blue (charging) but the side that is connected to the car won’t and the led stay white. I get the yellow plug symbol on the dashboard. The car feel the cable but no charge at all. Please help. I’m stuck here 😔

You still got plenty of range at 14% isn't there any other charger nearby? That usually means the plug isn't all the way in or the charger is defective.

I was stressed and I called Honda assistance. They took the car to the dealership. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. 🤞🤞

Hopefully nothing wrong with the car.

I have found that, in the UK at least, the few untethered 7/22kw slow chargers that I've used, the sockets tend to wear out and begin melt. If you check the socket terminals before connecting, sometimes you can clearly see pitting caused by electrical arcing (improperly removed during a charge) or the conductors are out of position due to connector melting (due to poor connection / high resistance / heat build up).

Also I am sure you are aware, but the e will not make use of 3phase charging (the 2 pins are missing at the bottom of the type 2 connector). It can only support 1phase / 32a chargers (at a maximum of 28a or similar, not the full 7.2kw)

Edit: the dealership said that they didn’t find anything wrong and the charging was ok. Now I’m back at the same place and magically it works. The car have 30% now. I’m thinking maybe it was because it was too low the battery, but even that sound strange for me.
Thoughts?
