PIN ERROR! NOT CHARGING! (RED COLOR)

Good morning! I have a Honda e Adv 2020. The following problem happened: I always charge the car at home with SHNIDER 3 phase charger. Occasionally, after finishing charging, the locking pin did not return to its place and I could not pull out the charging cable. After several presses of the open/close button on the key fob, the pin returned and I pulled out the wire. Yesterday I wanted to charge the car, but when I opened the charging port, I saw that the pin had not completely gone into place and was sticking out. I pushed it with a screwdriver and inserted the charging cable and the red light came on (constantly). After that, I tried several times to remove and insert the charging wire, but every time the red light turned on. I thought that charging was not happening due to the pin not coming out. The instructions say that there is a cable under the glove compartment that releases the pin if it is stuck. I pulled the cable, but nothing happened. The pin didn't come out. Next, I disassembled the charging port housing and disconnected the pin mechanism. I inserted the charging cable again and pulled out the pin with my hands. But, unfortunately, charging never started! THE INDICATOR IS RED! WHAT TO DO?

Was the 3-phase charger placed because of a previous electric vehicle? The Honda e can only handle 1 phase. Have you tried charging with a simple 'granny' charger? Or maybe try to reset the whole system by disconnecting the 12V battery for 10-15 minutes?

I tried turning off the 12V for 1 hour and trying the original charger! no result!

I would remove the interlock actuator, disassemble and re-grease it so that it does not stick. I would then with a multimeter check the pinout, it cannot have many pins and should be easy to determine if the actuator is reporting its position correctly.

The charging is obviously failing to start because the interlock mechanism is unable to lock the connector to the car (or sense that it has done so), and this is paramount for safety of the car (charging should not start if the cable is not locked into place, safety first).

By modifying the type 2 connector (1st picture) allowing voltage to be applied whilst the interlock is out, you will have confused the car. It might be possible that you have a fault logged that will not clear by itself, although your video and the fact it 'attempts' to lock the connector suggest that this is not the case.

Clearly the problem is in the lock actuator and its position sensor. Remove/inspect+understand/test/clean/lube/refit , that's about all you can do. You may also have a wiring issue if the actuator pin out seems OK, if the vehicle is left outside, you could have rodent damage.

Also - replace your charging cable - you are asking for trouble by now having the ability to remove or insert it when the car is not expecting it to. At the least you will cause problems such as you experience now, and at the worse you will start to damage the charging port and cable conductors, leading to damage and potentially causing a fire risk.

Yes, you can clearly hear the actuator trying to lock.

ARTEM I believe Honda just sells this as a complete part. PN - 1F410-61M-E01

The actuator may be generic to another part and interchangeable but I can't be sure it right now.
I would advise disassembly to check the real manufacturer and possibly some PN.
