My Honda+

Reassuring to be sat indoors and know that my e has started re-charging. If only we could get a Smart Meter installed. Great to have the My Honda+ app connected and working.

Honda UK have released several short videos on YouTube this week, so it would be frustrating not to be able to access the full menu and checkout what we can do remotely.

Main thing I am interested in at the moment is the remote climate control. As we discussed on twitter I am awaiting the dealer getting me back in to sort out the telematics settings. How quick is it to respond to the app? My last car was an Audi and unlocking could take 20 seconds from the app.

Not sure that our setup will help answer your response time question. Basically it's slow (when it connects) but that is due poor mobile reception. When I'm away from the house, and have good 4G I will test response time.

How long did it take for your subscriptions to activate?
Mine are still in In Progress. Connected app on Friday AM.

It was awhile ago. Seem to remember Instructions given to me by my Dealer stated you could only Subscribe to One ONLY Core Connectivity first, and then add the other 2 choices. This seems a bit weird, but it might explain if you are still “In Progress” - it should update within a few seconds.

Would like to hear from other UK Owners, whether to you now have My Honda+ app successfully Connected and talking to your car.

I have suggested to my twitter followers that anyone collecting their cars 1 Sept* should ensure App connects BEFORE they accept their cars from Dealer.

However I am also hearing that some Dealers don't know how to sort this problem. So perhaps Honda UK's training/instructions are at fault. I can tell you it is a pain to keep re-typing VIN every time process fails.

*they waited so they could celebrate being 70 - too many candles for me.

Wish I knew this before I left my dealer. Didn't try the app till I got home! Went back to the dealership and they don't know how to get it working (Honda Gravesend).

They showed me this list of instructions, apparently they got stuck on number 10 :(

My app has been showing the subs “in progress” since Friday. Emailed Honda support at Saturday, but have not heard from them yet.

For those who are collecting their cars on 1 September, this comment was added to my twitter feed
“They will probably need to wait until 24hours after vehicle registration before even attempting the Honda + connection otherwise it won't return the correct car when you enter the VIN...and then if anyone can get the PIN to show up on the dashboard please do let me know!”

So it may not be possible to set up App when you collect you car. Enjoy being 70

An easy mistake. Be carefully at every stage. Assuming you get PIN and connect to your car, you should Only Subscribe to ONE option (the first one) Core Connectivity. Not sure why, but that's what process says. It's easy to click on 2 or 3, but the App doesn't like that. I think you can Unsubscribe and start again. Seem to remember I jumped ahead too.

My memory for this stuff, a few weeks ago now, is all but gone!
