Also I think you need to have the Location and Data sharing ON. Check that it is ON by going to General settings / system / Location and vehicle data sharing.
Otherwise you can also from the pop up screen when you switch on the car, click settings instead of start.

I ask because even though mine states 'Connected', looking at the icon is implies that it is not.

BTW - The car's hotspot is designed (intentionally or accidentally, who knows) to only connect to a phone inside the car because it struggles to connect to an external access point.
Here you go mate - kinda the same thing but my logo is white and moves up and down like a proper signal bar. My phone (Oneplus Nord) still won't connect to it though.

I'm going to try my LG V40 with a new email address.

*UPDATE* I've tried it on my LG V40 and it seems to be working!!

I think the problem was with my Oneplus Nord or perhaps android 10!

My LGv40 asked me for a PIN which is the stage the Oneplus Nord could never get to.

The PIN has now been registered with the phone.

WOW! So for a split second, I had most of the app working! I was able to lock and unlock the car, set the climate from the car whilst outside the car - I was just about to try the car location feature when the app force closed and logged me out😢.

Now I can't get logged back in as the Honda app is waiting for me to validate my phones login with the App itself?!

Are these issues with Android phones only, or also with iOS based devices?

I'm trying to use an iphone and i was able to generate a pin after visiting the dealer. Am able to open the app, and check the subscriptions, but they have just been sat In Progress for the last 6 days. I've been using the car most days for longer than 20 mins. Emailed honda support, but have not had a response.
Will try ringing them next.

You're now stuffed, you'll need to create a new account (different email address). I think that your dealer needs to request assistance from head office to delete your current account.
That's exactly where I got to originally (but the app never worked for me) by using my phone as a hotspot.
I've created a new account and cannot complete the registration after entering the PIN.

I'm booked in next Wednesday for the dealer to look at this because my esim isn't correctly setup.
