Pop up hood warning
I have attached different pictures again showing in red the area that I want to check with you. Maybe I am super imaginating but I have a feeling that the right side when you look at it from standing infront of the car is different from the left and from your pictures. I want to check if the some part of the panel was bent to the inside. Mine shows more of the panel to the inside I think.
Ignore those they look the same as on mine.
Have a look under the large centre supporting tab in the middle
See the yellow connector this is behind the middle of the number plate.
Quite interestingly the RADAR panel on the front is just a RADAR clear window, the RADAR module is quite a distance behind which would explain why snow falling on that area does not melt.

Those white jablo things that are touching the sensor are exactly like mine, not damaged. So how can the sensor be damaged if it is made of metal??? They are really trying to cheat me. I will take it to other mechanics that hopefully can connect to the obd2 with their machines and check for me.
I think they are just expanded foam spacers possibly to add stiffness/support to the flimsy plastic panel when driving at speed, the sensor is probably of the type that detects force but is one shot, so once it senses a shock it stays made, lucky the bonnet did not pop up at the hinge mechanism, it's there for pedestrian safety I think.
The sensor is below the central metal strut/tab an is behind the number plate the yellow connector is much lower than the white pieces.

I think the sensor is the long piece of metal that the jablo almost touch. When pressure is made on the bumper those pieces of jablo touch the sensor and according to the amount of pressure and speed of the car the ecu decides if to activate the actuators or not. Since in my case the speed was 0 it did not activate the actuators to raise the bonnet.

No I did not manage. You need to fix it to remove the warning. The dealer cannot say if the sensor it is just bent or damaged, they quoted me to change it but it was too expensive so I let it as it is. I click the home button on the steering wheel every time I start the car and the bright orange warning then goes off.
To me they just hit my car while it was parked. Pushed the front bumper in. The shape is perfect, just a small light scratch. It could have happened the same to your wife on the same day and she thinks it was the wheel.
Check properly the front bumper.
