Well the buckle on trick is even mentioned in the official dealer workshop manual when connecting the HDS laptop to the vehicle: "To prevent shut-down power supply during troubleshooting, you have to insert the driver's seat belt buckle and do not release the
driver's seat buckle when connect the HDS. Otherwise ECU will be damaged."

To clarify, the CTEK stores 3 months data onboard the monitor unit itself, whereas the Victron stores none.
So if you don't go near your car for 3 months then you'll still be able to access the data during that period on the CTEK, but you'll have no idea what happened with the Victron. I would expect both systems to store all the data downloaded to the app indefinitely, however I haven't seen this documented anywhere for either unit.

I ordered a CTEK Battery Sense 40-149 from Amazon yesterday & because it arrived today (2 days early) I have just fitted it today in the heavy rain.
It took me a couple of minutes to realise that to change the battery capacity from 75Ah to 45Ah I had to click on the 'Ah' value.
Worryingly it only shows 42% (it then dropped to 41% by the time I had locked up the car), even though it seems to be charging considering that the voltage is 14.67v

Give it a few days to capture data and you should be able to correlate the graph with what you are doing with the car, ie if charging from the main battery or draining it when sat parked up fiddling about, etc. Pity it doesn't plot temperature at the same time that'd be handy.

But what was the voltage after you'd locked up the car? Presumably you can't lock the car AND keep it powered on, in which case surely the battery would stop charging.

Things don't look good, it seems that the battery voltage plummeted to below 30% last night after the car was locked and at the end of my 25 mile commute into work today it had only risen back up to 33%

Why isn't it charging there? Is your main battery over 90%

How would I know why it isn't charging?
My main traction battery was at 79% when I left home and would have been about 55% when I arrived at work, but I didn't check it.

I was just wondering why there is no voltage on that screen shot, even when there is no charging it should show a voltage, maybe your app wasn't live to the battery monitor?

Given your battery was really flat the other day it's possible the deep discharge (for whatever reason) has damaged the battery. Something like a ctek or optimate battery charger may condition it better than the normal charging of the car or normal simple battery charger.

That said I'd be asking Honda for a new battery before you get stranded somewhere.
