I thought that I'd add a new separate thread specifically for the now available MyHonda+ Digital Key subscription.

I can unlock the car using the app or NFC, then power up the car and drive off.
This is how the app should have been designed, i.e. Bluetooth/NFC because it doesn't need an internet or eSIM connection.

One issue that I've found is that the window open/close function doesn't work.

One piece of advice, don't use the app to lock yourself in the car because it's likely that you'll set off the car alarm and it's a pain stopping it without the key

Thank you, I added subscription (though I didn't realise I had to pay £0 to activate for a while...), now it's activated.
I shall try later - thanks for the tip for alarm :!:

It's very unlikely for me to renew with £59 per annum after one year though. :?

That’s great news.

How did you activate it? I see it in the subscriptions list, but with this software you never know whether you need to be in or out of the car. Whether it should be powered on or off.

I use iPhone so using iOS, leaving my e outside, I could do it in the house.

I found it under the Subscription list, added it, but as @Marmite also realised, you'll need to check-out and agree to the T's&C's, then it sits in a pending state. You should receive an email, but note that the FAQ link doesn't actually give any information on the Digital Key subscription. After a short period it will become active without any notification and the app will change as I've shown in the screenshots in my first post.

Was their some sort of pairing procedure? Only I'm wondering if it can be activated while our car is not communicating with the MyHonda+ servers.

Yes, initially there is a standard Bluetooth pairing, then each time that you want to power up the car after unlocking the car a PIN code is displayed on the infotainment system which is to be entered into the app or if you have an Android handset then the NFC on the dash can be used instead of the PIN.

I think that I was a bit premature about this update with Bluetooth connectivity being the way that the app should have originally been designed.

I'm now in a constant loop of doom  with the app between these 2 whilst stood a foot from the driver's door:
