When I am starting the car on an incline, I occasionally get a ‘clunk’ from the rear.
It is though the transmission is in reverse and then has to switch to Drive.
Anybody had this problem ?

Not owning one (yet) myself, please disregard this if it sounds stupid:

Could it be the hill-hold suddenly thinking you are going to roll back and slamming on the brakes?

If it's your hostage trying to get out then you really should have considered a bigger car!

Thanks, it is probably hill-hold.
It would have to be a really small hostage
to fit in the boot of a Honda e 😀 .
