Has anyone else had problems with one (or both) of their rear doors not being able to be opened either from the outside or inside?

Today I went out for lunch with my wife and one of my adult children & when we returned my son couldn't open the rear door which he exited from 2 hours earlier.
Locking & unlocking the car made no difference and we can no longer open it from either the outside or inside.
I've phoned the dealer and they'll now be looking at this along with replacing the faulty driver's door switch (to fix the window constantly opening & closing) as well as the first service.

Only when I've not opened a front door or the boot first. I'm not sure *why* that makes a difference, but it does.

It's because the car is still locked.
Just because the front door handles have popped out, the car isn't unlocked therefore no doors can be opened until the car is unlocked.
This is the same as any car with central locking.

Just to clarify my issue.
Whilst the driver's and front passenger doors are open, the near side rear door will not open but the off side rear will.

We've all been there (well both you & I have) because instinctively we assume all doors & boot should open when those handles pop out.
I understand the logic, but it is annoying if you have passengers or just want to get something off the rear seat without opening the front doors or boot.
