Honda e Advance ordered yesterday
First electric car

Thinking an app to record the cameras images would be a good idea

Hello and welcome Gimp - great user name BTW!

Good idea about the app, it saves having a dash cam to record you weren't speeding when that pedestrian walks from behind a van without looking in a supermarket car park straight into your path "Ohh I didn't hear you coming!" they invariably say. Mind you the Honda e does make a noise at low speeds so hopefully that scenario won't happen to me again....

Hi, welcome.

Great idea.
Also indispensable to register as verifiable documented evidence in case of theft and vandalism in urban stops.
Like Tesla Sentry Mode.
However, external motion sensors are required, which activate the optics when someone passes around the car.
Otherwise there is the risk of accumulating ㎇ of useless data.
Even an internal dash cam wouldn't be bad; especially to defend themselves in case [for example] you are stopped by the police because of false accusations of using your mobile phone while driving.
