That's the maximum you'll ever see IRL, the originally advertised speed of 100kW was vapourware.

I've had 48 at a Shell 150kw charger but it didn't last long. Got to say the Shell one was really easy to use though. I've tried an Ionity as well and it was a real pain with slow/buggy app.
The instavolt 50kw ones are easy to use but I only get 20-30kw out of them at best.

It annoys me that the car itself doesn't show the charge rate. Not all chargers display the instantaneous rate or even the average rate leading to a bit of mental arithmetic.
InstaVolt are nice charges physically, but as mentioned 50KW the max I've seen is just above 30.
I haven't seen anything near 40kw anywhere, but my rapid charges are not numerous. I had 3 failed attempts at 2 separate 'MFG' 150kw chargers on the outskirts of London. The 1 attempt in 3 that did work, I was lucky to see 24kwh max, with seemingly random drops to 13kw and back up to 20+.
Public charging will be the death of the electric car - my experiences so far have been wholly unsatisfactory (As a tech head, i can put up with this price for 'new' , but the wife is not prepared to wait around!). The car/concept also fails in this regard - for a car with such a small battery, charging at over 50kw should have been a day 1 design feature. Watching other vehicles charge quicker (due to bigger batteries) kind of seems counter intuitive.

Try to use the climate from the app during chargin in low temperatures. I have an odb2 and when I connect the charger the batery temp is 22 degrees and the charge rate is 20 kW (from a delta charger on 50 kW max) when I engage the preheating to normal for 10 minutes gives me that batery is 29 degrees and then the charge rate is 27-29 kW.
Which OBD2 and software do you have please??pk87 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 25, 2021 11:32 am Try to use the climate from the app during chargin in low temperatures. Used the large bank of gridserve electric highway chargers at rugby Moto services. This was immediately after a drive from Oxfordshire, hit 41kw pretty quickly (at 20%) and held it all the way to 79% where it then dropped very quickly to about 20kw when I then disconnected and left.
Happy with the rugby Moto services charging experience. Quick easy and no hassle and plenty of chargers.
