Same if I find a public charging station that can deliver 22kw?
You have them here in the Netherlands. Not many, but they are there. And it fills up the Honda e faster than normal standard charging stations. https://www.wedrivesolar.nl

We also have a few 22kw charging stations here in Italy but I still can't understand the point of it if the car can only take 6.6kw?

Yes strange, but really the e is full much faster. Guess those charging stations can deliver much more constatnt power.

I highly recommend a spiral cable: This way the cable does not hang down to the (dirty) ground and does not touch the vehicle...

Yes it is their wallbox, the Honda power charger that can deliver up to 22KW in 3 phase but the car can take only 6.6kW

I wonder what the point is in selling a Power Station like that if the car can take less kw
Unfortunately even public chargers you won't get anything more than 6.6kW.
Honda designed that charger future proof so that it can charge any new model that can take up to 22kW.

I also have a spiral cable, it has the advantage as you said not to get dirty and storage space but also the disadvantage that the usable length is very short.

Just hoping to clarify this.
In Ireland you only get one cable for free. So you can pick either the 3-pin or type 2 cables. The 3-pin is considerably more expensive so obviously that's the one to pick as the free one, but I'll also need to get the type 2.
They have a single phase and (more expensive) 3 phase option for sale.
The car only takes 6.6kW so for charging on a public 22kW charger will there be any difference in speed if I only have the single phase?

You need to understand this. For every single phase and triple phase cables there are 2 kinds, 16A and 32A

Single phase 16A = 3.6kW max
Single phase 32A = 7.4kW max
Three phase 16A = 11kW max
Three phase 32A = 22kW max

So for the Honda E you need to buy Single phase 32A or higher cable.
The charging station will give you a maximum of 22kW depending on your cable and car on-board charger. With the Honda e you will charge at 6.6kW max

Thanks Reuben, that's what i thought. The cheaper Honda one (that the UK folk get for free) should be single phase 32A I presume?

I think so. I don't have it.
