If I turn my steering wheel into a full lock to do a sharp U-turn at low speeds, I'm getting a juddering/knocking sensation. It almost feels like the tires are knocking the inside of the wheel arches, but I camt see any eveidence of this.
Any ideas, or should I go take it to a tire/wheel specialist?

Full steering lock - judder
You mention sharp u-turn , how fast are we talking? If you are accelerating the front will understeers quite easily at high steering angles (Which will cause tyre rub to the road which is something you can feel).
I have never heard any rubbing or felt any sensation like that whilst manoeuvring at full lock (Eg parking, or perhaps cheeky u-turn in a busy road).
Are you running the original wheels/tyre sizes? Don't forget the wheels and tyres are staggered and the rears are physically a different width and offset to the front ones. You would not be the first (or even second) person to have had someone get that wrong...

Not happened to me as yet in the e, but I have experienced this on several other vehicles. There are many factors I believe that causes this from wheel/suspension geometry to the make of tyre and wear on tyres.
In a Volvo V70 I previously owned, it was particularly bad going around tight underground car parks that had smooth surfaces and often damp.

I also get a creaking / tapping noise as I approach full lock to the left, only when reversing though. I replaced top mounts and top mount bearings but the tapping noise is still present. Going to investigate further soon. The noise definitely wasn’t there for the first year of ownership though.
