Update on flat 12v battery, On picking up the car a few days later after 5 x times battery went flat dealer said had fitted new one ! Not the the truth, after battery went flat 2 x more times called dealer again they confessed it was not a new battery but the one off another Honda e . I said I wanted a new battery not a used one. Dealer called the next day to say new battery was on its way from Honda parts and technician will come to home address and fit it for me. Technician arrived with new battery in box and invoice to prove it was brand new. 3 x weeks on all seems ok have fitted a battery monitor BM2 fingers crossed.

Thats a good start to the New Year, tried to get our E out of the garage this morning but everything completely dead, no lights/interior lights/ window movement.....oh joy! 12v battery must be flat??
AA on their way, hope they can jump start the battery!

I use a small lithium ion jump pack that I bought for 50quid to do the job - it's enough to get the car to wakeup...

If you have a normal 12v battery charger - you can always just charge it up for an hour or 2 and that should be enough also. Don't forget you can always open the door with a flat battery by removing the metal key part from the fob and manually unlocking the door - Saves calling out the AA...

Thank for the advice, Honda assistance turned out to be AA. Took 2 1/2 hours to arrive. He connected a large battery booster pack so the car could start and exit the garage, did some tests on the battery which seemed ok, offered an escorted drive to Newcastle Honda dealer and lift home. Decided to run the car for a round trip of 60 miles and will see what happens tomorrow. Have ordered a Hilka Tools 83850400 Jump Starter Power Bank, 400 A , just in case the battery is not charging. Will retrieve battery trickle charger from #1 son to top up in future or go down the warranty path.
