Well, after 2 years of e ownership, I’m going back to ICE on Friday. Part-exchanging for a Civic VTEC Turbo Prestige; may regret it, we’ll see.

Tomorrow the SEAT Mii electric is going too; the Citroën Ami is the victor in that battle and will be our one remaining EV, bought for a purpose and doing it admirably!!

Disillusioned with the current Government’s stance on EVs after recent announcements so taking a step back for now after just over 4 years of various EV ownership.

Sticking with Honda for the time being and will see what models they bring in the future.

Sayonara for now.

Shame to see you go. The wifes car is a mk10 civic sport (same engine just slightly lower spec/trim than the prestige), and it's OK. There are some things it does better than the e, but looking good isn't one of them! Even before I got the e, the turning circle can only be described as bus-like.

In a practical sense, it's better than the e in most ways, perhaps a little noisier. I'm not a fan of the CVT so I hope you're getting a manual!

Only had one problem with the 1.5t lump - the PCV breather pipe melted itself due to oil dilution with e10 petrol. I've since used a slightly thicker oil, only e5 petrol and hope that does the job. It's the only honda you will own where the oil level goes up! That said it did have an oil leak fixed under warranty, suspect that e10 petrol started eating away at some seal aswell.

Update:

I've still got the Civic (it's an Auto), no regrets at all, but I do miss the tech of the e.
The Citroën Ami has been sold and replaced with the SEAT Mii that we sold in November via carwow to a dealer in York for £17,600 (originally paid £17k some 14 months previously when brand new); 5 months later it was still sat on the lot unsold so we bought it back for £14,990 so very pleased with the deal. We paid £8,495 for the Ami and sold it for £6,650 so lost on that and gained on the Mii; swings & roundabouts springs to mind!!
