Honda had years of testing and you think that this update is going to change the charging rate? You think that they realised in the last minute that all their calculations were wrong and they are going to change now? For me most probably this update is bug fixes like many updates are. What Honda have to explain is what are the conditions to charge from 15% to 80% in just 31 minutes as they say.

They told me 0% to 80% in 20 minutes last year.

There is a firmware update available so it must do something. Keeping in mind that they probably started making these cars last year they would have been using pre-release firmware with updates delayed due to COVID-19.

A familiar story: communication from my dealership has also been patchy.

I've had one call from them since they reopened last month, to let me know that my June delivery date had slipped to August. They also said that their e specialist was due back at work at the beginning of July, and that he'd be in touch when a demonstrator was available. I've heard nothing since then.

I know they now have a demonstrator as someone posted a video of their test drive in it on YouTube around a week ago. I appreciate that this guy may have been ahead of me in the waiting list, but I'd still have welcomed a call to say they had a car and to be given some idea of when I could test drive it.

Received a slightly more specific delivery date today: week from August 17.
Ordered the Advance (black) in September last year.

Unfortunately, the registration of a new vehicle in Berlin currently takes up to four weeks...
Four (4) weeks!
The Kraftfahrzeug-Zulassungsbehörde is not not able to do this more quickly. Good old German bureaucracy (paired with Berliner Luschigkeit)

Does that mean that the delivery will be in September now? 🤔

Delivery to the dealer will be in mid August - then I have to wait for the licence plate. Yes: this most likely means driving it in September...

That is a bummer RAL! I still assume that mine has already been made and is on the ship to Belgium (maybe ours are on the same ship!). Then EU customs clearance and transport to NL. Before delivery it gets a maintenance. Registration (and number plates) can be arranged here within a day. Ordered early April and would be one from dealer stock. Dealer has said that delivery will be mid-August, except for changes made by covid19. Think it will be September. People who have previously (was possible last October) reserved it, will approximately receive it at the same time.

I'm curious as to what type of batches they're produced and transported in.

I ordered mine on June 15th (in Denmark), and was told by the dealer that if we could order it that week and it was in the colour I requested (white), then he could have it in August. Deep down I kind of feel it was just a trick to get me to sign the deal though, because all other dealers I had spoken to initially said September but before discussion model, colour and all that.
