I agree, "self charging" is a term that should be outlawed because the advertising intent is clearly to imply a green credential, when the truth is you need to burn petrol to charge the battery so not that green after all. Perfectly fair to say you may not need to burn as much petrol in most circumstances.

I wonder if it's a deliberate move to use the term as they know it pushes buttons amongst the easily triggered in some countries they have officially banned it's usage Norway is one that I know of, you will however note Norway does not have a car industry of its own to upset, it doesn't stop them selling a skip load of oil though!
