Again thanking FDAD, I have updated the front centre speaker in line with his instructions. All good
The only extra thing I would add is you have to cut off two little nubbins of plastic, one off each of the supports that the speaker screws into.
On a brief garage test (place not music) I heard a substantial improvement. Full test next time.
PS. I have a spare speaker connector if anyone would like to pay for postage

FDAD
Any subwoofer speaker replacement update please?
I’m poised to follow your instructions
I wish.. i did not see the other questions you had.
With the current bad wheather I haven't got time to explore much but I've ordered tools to pry open the doors etc without damaging anything.
The sub may be a 5" unit as the box was not very big.

Good news. I changed the Center speaker today. The sound is much better now.
Thanks for all the instructions an pictures.
I drilled two extra holes for the little plastic nubbins.

I disassembled the front passenger door panel to get a better look at the main door speakers and noticed the speakers are rather custom and replacing them will not be an easy job. Unfortunately Honda has opted for a custom bracket that is part of the speaker itself and thus I see no easy way to swap it with a third party speaker...
I have access to a 3D printer and I might try to make a custom bracket for third party speakers at a later time.
That looks the same as fitted in some of the other Honda range, i.e. Civic, CRV CR-V & Jazz, therefore it might be worth looking at whether anyone has found an alternative for one the those cars. I would have thought that someone in within the Civic community would have found a solution to this by now.
