Honda E Forum

For those of you have had your car delivered already and have chosen winter tyres, how does the wheel/rim look? My google-fu might be failing me but I can't seem to find an example of what the E is delivered with.

The reason I ask is because I've been promised some "expensive, original Honda wheels" for my winter tyres, but I have no idea what that means.

Are winter tyres on the accessory list ?

I can't find anything on their webpage, but I've been told by both my dealer and Honda EU (Denmark) that they have an ongoing campaign where everyone who orders it until the end of september can get either a home charger installed or a set of winter tyres. There's some alternative Honda 17" wheels available (not the black ones) on the Danish honda site https://www.honda.dk/cars/new/honda-e/accessories.html so maybe that's them, but I'm not sure.

Those 17" aluhjul wheels (and others with a blue rim) are standard accessories across Europe, with them costing £1014 (Fitted £1100) in the UK, no mention of tyres (though I suspect the originally supplied tyres will fit).

Could be those then. He did say they normally cost 14.000dkk (about €1900) normally here.

I guess I'll find out soon enough..

I went with honda E original 16” black,

My 17” wheels came with Yokohama BlueEarth Winter V905 as the factory option. Not what I’d have picked, and not a performance choice like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on the summer wheels. It’ll do, I guess.

Me myself didn't pick from this list.
I'm running studless Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 225/50R17 98R XL - rear and 205/50R17 93R XL - front.
Using the original 17" rims. So the Michelin Pilots needs new rims when it's time for change next year.
Should probably went with the Conti (believe they are quieter) but got a better deal with Hakka.
Changing profile from 45 to 50 is no issue what a can tell. It's within the 5% circumference margin (that Swedes have to follow).

I find that detail really perculiar. Original 16s front and rear have as close to same diameter as possible but for 17s the fronts are 9mm smaller radius rather than 1mm larger as you get with 50 profile.

It doesn't seem right so I also went with 205/50 front.
