And how would the manual know WHAT'S ACTUALLY BEEN CARRIED OUT?
It wouldn't know, but then that's not the question I was answering! I was saying that the service schedule is in the Owner's Guide that comes with the car (and the downloadable Owner's Manual). An invoice detailing what was actually carried out is not the same thing as the service schedule, which is what Honda lists as needs doing and at what intervals. Although I did miss that Maggie_G had not yet received her car, so pointing her to the downloadable Owner's Manual would probably have been more helpful.

I've agreed the price on my car order so don't think I can haggle now :?

I paid to make I get a good value after finance
Same tbh. £125 for a pollen filter is shite, but people want to see the stealer-stamp in the book, so...

I have been looking into Mercedes EQV for my practical transport. MB charges £400/year for service of their electric vehicles (No parts included). Teslas is event more expensive to service here.

I have prepaid services for the Honda. Don't care about a few hundred ££ (if I did, I would have bought a different car), but I like the comfort of knowing that whatever goes wrong its Hondas problem

Time will tell if that really is the case.

The Polestar 2 appears to have a better offering included in the price, yes the car costs more but you get significantly more car:

£18k more than the e
Wouldn’t fit in my garage
We have 3 years warranty and roadside assistance
We have connected services to 2028
I paid £325 for 5 years of Honda maintenance
Conclusion: e is much better value than the Polestar
Both are lovely cars

However the Safety and Journey subscription is only 12 months from when the car is registered & the HPA service is £49pa.

Yeah, but Vehicle Services and Vehicle Warranty are two different things. If after three years (assuming one doesn't extend), the £649 for a five-pack of pollen filters won't be much consolation if something goes wrong with the car.

No matter what happens you are always better off as a loyal costumer with impeccable service record.
