Dream.
It all begins with a blank page and some imagination.
Imagine a car out of science fiction.
Make your own rules. It's your dream after all.
So dream, and then ask yourself,
is a dream still even a dream if you can drive it?

Hi Martin-H - thanks for posting here.
At last, a quality ad about the e
I personally think this simple ad is spot on. Honda's strapline has been about dreams.
It doesn't say much, which says it all. It's about the experience.
Would be good to know which Agency made the ad.
And a woman driving. We need more here.

The agency was Sid Lee of Paris. More details at:

Two phrases are oddly missing from the advert. Firstly "Honda e". Secondly "electric".

I beg to differ, the app is definitely a prototype, it's not even worthy of being classified as an alpha build.

That's what is clever about the ad - no technical stuff - no mention it is electric. It doesn't need to.

Modern ads are all about emotion, and people - think the latest British Gas ads - people without hot water - totally different approach to old Centrica ones. Or Lily James in Sky Mobile - it has a message, but it's very subtle and fun in its approach, it's about sharing stuff.
Whereas BT is still using the direct Ronseal / Dacia approach that's boring.

Having lived through the early days of Colour Supplements where Audi & BMW build their brands in the UK many years ago, these were very subtle but they paid off for years after. It is never easy changing people's minds, logic doesn't work.

It's about fulfilling desire, not need.

This ad is streets ahead of Toyota/Lexus and going more premium.
A lot of SUV ads these days are ridiculous - Skoda's driving around in the dust - and the terrible VW Tiguan ad - school drop off.

Nice.

They missed a trick there though by not editing it to 8:3 ratio, like the Honda e's screens, considering they've got so close with such a non-standard 2.47:1 ratio anyway.
