I saw my e charging last night. In the dark. The blue flashing charge lamp (just above the plug socket) was so bright I thought the Police were outside! It's embarrassingly bright. There doesn't seem to be any way of turning it off (short of stopping the charge). Has anyone found a way of dealing with this?

It's not very pretty but you can use weatherproof tape over it.

Thanks both. I've bitten the bullet and gone for the official item...

Once you get used to how it should fit, it's very good, saves illuminating the front of my house! Saves the port filling up with the leaves flying about at the moment, make sure you push the plug in fully, first time I used it I hadn't and when I turned the granny charger on there was a lot of clicking. Yes the Honda has an odd placement for the charge port , but more comfortable access than my neighbour mg.

By using the tabs on the cover you can get the edges very neat lined up in the opening, and it didn't seem to move in the high winds we had the other week.

It's bright enough at night but in the daytime it's almost invisible
