So if we say these cars took 3 months to depreciate £1k then £333pm instead of the £400+ pm you’d expect ( 3yr 50% - £15000 / 36m = £417pm ?) it suggests depreciation is better than expected ?
If anything it should be higher still in year 1 and ease off by year 3.

What are your predictions for a used Honda E with maybe under 50k mileage and a private seller? I'm thinking close to £19k-£21k possibly in the upcoming 6-12 months? Off-topic but does using your Octopus referral code reveal information about the person that used it? like name/age etc? Someone I know wanted to join them and was open to using somebody's ref code.

Someone I know in salvage said it would probably make £17k if it was written off a CAT N (nonstructural) or £14k if it was structural CAT S

Yes in theory you should be right.
Most articles suggest 50% depreciation over 3yrs, so 30k>15k , but it won’t be an even 5k per year.
It could be 30% year one so that would take you to the 30k>20k you suggest.

However I personally don’t think the E will follow the usual rules and scarcity will help keep the value up. I don’t expect many E owners will trade them in and any lease vehicles would take a couple of years to hit the market. So I think values will hold up above 20k for quite a while yet.

Octopus codes - if someone uses your link Octopus tells you a first name and nothing else so if it was a friend you would know who it was but if it was picked up online you have no idea who it is.

Again on the write off prices I think scarcity will make these very hard to find.
