NOW TV via. HDMI will not work even with a full 4G signal when the car is tethered to my phone

I can watch a movie if the car is connected directly to my home WIFI network using the NOW TV stick in the HDMI port. If the car is tethered to my phone and the phone is connected to my home WIFI it also works. However, if I tether the car to my phone it won’t load NOW TV even with a full 4G signal if I away from the house. Anyone had a similar experience with Firesticks, Roku, NOW TV sticks? If so, any ideas how to address this? Cheers!

Who is your airtime provider?
Not all allow tethering/hotspot on all the data plans.

O2. I think it does as I can tether other devices.

Get it working on your phone off your home WiFi, are you sure you haven't restricted it to WiFi only?

The WIFI only is not selected on NOW TV. I will try the lower quality video setting tomorrow to see if that makes a difference but I am not especially hopeful!

I've got a Roku Streaming Stick, works fine streaming from my phone. I'm on the Three network.

I am going to lower the video quality on the NOW TV settings and see if that makes a difference. The NOW TV sticks are made by Roku I think. Glad yours is working Bogga 😀
