I'm trying to figure out if I would be able to make it to Heathrow on one charge.
ev-database.uk says that the "hightway - cold weather" range is 70 miles. Is this the lowest it could be? At least for the first few years, as I know range drops over time.
Worst case scenario range
The worst case / lowest range isn't much but probably not too relevant either. Max continuous power output is 60kW which gives about 25min on a full charge... a Bugatti Veyron can empty the tank in 15min at full throttle.
If you adapt speed and heating I would say you can always get your 70miles, even without trying too hard.

It all depends on your right foot. If you are someone who always gives full throttle, which I was, you will not even get 70 miles on a full charge.

This is what worries me. I do have a "heavy foot". If I was going down the motorway at 70/80 miles an hour, with the heating on, and it's around 0°C outside, I might even need to stop twice, if it would struggle to get 70 miles.
Then you should adapt your driving style, because it's clearly faster to drive slower and don't waste time charging. A heavy foot never gets you faster anywhere anyway.Thundarian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 3:58 pmThis is what worries me. I do have a "heavy foot". Well since its the M25, I doubt you will be able to go very fast, which should save you some power.Thundarian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 2:36 pm I'm trying to figure out if I would be able to make it to Heathrow on one charge.

You’ll burn 270Wh/km if driving 120km/h. That’s what my car reported today in 4C and rain. I’m running 17” Nokian Hakka R3. Driving 100-105km/h in the same condition reported 205Wh/km. Penalty is high with heavy foot and this conditions.
