As far as I am aware these are the first owner UK MyHonda+ Subscription Costs:
Core Connectivity: Free for first owner up to 8 years, 3 months & 1 day, subsequent owners are charged £39 per year.
Safety and Journey: First year, then an annual subscription of £29 per year for the second and third year. No mention of what happens in years 4+.
Digital Key: First year free, then an annual subscription of £49 per year.
Honda Personal Assistant: £49 per year.
In-Car WiFi Hotspot: £5-20 per year.

It looks to me that Honda are charging for the app services which I believe, all should be free for everyone for at least 10 years, to allow them to shut down the services sooner rather than later using the argument that very few are subscribing. Which for a second owner in years 2+ could cost you £39+£29+£49+£49=£166 pa plus the Hotspot cost of up to £240 pa, total of £406pa.

I shan't be subscribing to anything other than the £39 pa Core Connectivity. I've 10GB a month available on my mobile so I'll tether to that for WiFi when using my Amazon Firestick. I've activated the Vodafone free 1 month trial but shan't be renewing it.

Is it possible to connect the navigation app to a live traffic service and if so, how?

The nav app uses radio broadcast traffic information, depends where you live as to its usefulness, in my car it shows fresh speed cameras reported but doesn't show traffic slow downs as yet.
