When you get a moment, can you give us your views on the Honda charger?
I'm just curious as to what people think of it because I doubt that it'll ever become available in the UK.
One of the models was supposed to be V2G capable, was this an option for you?

No vehicle to grid. Are you sure the car supports it (outside the in-car 230v plug).londiniumperson wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 12:19 pmWhen you get a moment, can you give us your views on the Honda charger?

The charger is plain, simple unit. Not much more than a plug. It's got jumpers to set max current and a LED to show if charging or full - that's about the most advanced or actually the only features

There was an article on the Honda UK website, under the heading of 'HONDA’S ENERGY MANAGEMENT BUSINESS FOR EUROPE TAKES SHAPE', where they announced a collaboration with Vattenfall, who were looking at V2G with the Honda e, see here:Trykpaa wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:11 pmNo vehicle to grid. There are numerous articles about Vattenfall & Honda V2G, however no progress has been reported yet.
All Honda e's supposedly support V2G, however Honda implemented it before the CCS V2G standard was ratified, so unlikely to be compatible with all V2G units if any.

All of these 'chargers' are a scam because the charger (AC to DC) is in the car itself, the wallbox is not a charger it is actually called an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), it's just a contactor/relay with some electronics to provide safety features, interrupt the flow of current when plugging/unplugging & manage a pilot signal to determine the maximum current draw at a particular moment.
Have a look at the OpenEVSE device that anyone can easily build themselves here is a example of it on YouTube, all other EVSE (i.e. PodPoint, Ohme, Anderson, etc) work on the same principle:
