@MattHero If you press the Play button on the displayed right hand screen, it should show the App on the left hand screen. That's what happened in my case.

I've just checked and this can be initiated by pressing any of the audio icons (FM, DAB, Bluetooth) as well as the HDMI icon.
You'll likely get a message initially stating that there's an issue with connecting to the device, but just follow @555djx advice to 'press the Play button on the displayed right hand screen, it should show the App on the left hand screen.'

The screen you are seeing on the left is just the native audio app with the source being AA or CP, rather than it being DAB/FM etc. if you change source, AA or CP can be selected.

Ah-ha! This makes sense in that context. I'll be honest, I've never read that section of the manual to see if it is covered specifically, but I guess if USB drives are a source, there's no ready why a USB connected device serving an audio stream would be similarly supported (hence why the play action is required to trigger the screen into action).

EDIT: suggests that CarPlay would also work this way too on a *wired* connection via USB?
