Received an email from Honda overnight asking me to validate that I still owned the car.
Very sensible as you can do a lot from the app.
Was quite easy.
Sit in the car, powered up. Switch to EV menu.
Fire up the app and click on the validate ownership link.
This prompts for a four digit code that appears on the car screen via an email message.
Once I realised I needed to be in the EV menu to receive the code, all worked smoothly.
Anyone else received this?

Out of interest - and possibly off topic - how do other car manufacturers deal with this logical problem? Do they too periodically as for ownership to be revalidated in this way? I'm sure most contemporary vehicles have similar app access concerns?

I don't think that need to access the EV Menu to view the PIN code, there should be a notification at the top of the driver's side infotainment display, just touch it and the message should be displayed.
If you need to access your messages later, these are available via the 'All Apps' menu, then the 'Messages' option.
