You can tell the little Honda that it takes one of those turbines about 1h 50min to make the power needed for all those 21000km (provided they are 2,3MW model and you are at about 200hw/km)
Rare as Hens teeth
They expected to sell 10.000 units in all of Europe yearly. Before showed up at least...Trykpaa wrote: βWed Jul 28, 2021 8:05 pm I agree on the observations. I live 2km away from the nearest owner, and work with another. Besides those I have only seen a handful in the wild.
The fact that Honda basically stopped selling the car, I think points in the direction that they are not interested in selling any more - at the moment at least.
History of EV cars is full of 'compliance cars'; cars developed and sold in small numbers and most often the manufacturer is loosing money on every single one they sell. Usually brought to market to test or demonstrate technology, to satisfy authorities or simply as a marketing stunt. Most, if not all, hydrogen EVs are also like that.
A special case is VW E-Up! of which they could sell a lot, but they keep pausing production when they have sold 'enough'!?
Update: I just checked the danish database: 90 registered, only 2 of those sold this year. Highest vin number ....6358.
Honda E advance [Modern Steel Metallic] [DELIVERED JULY 2020] - 85 000Kms +
putting that into perspective really is something to laugh about... A full year of driving in 1,50h.... Imagine if you could store that much in a car's battery.

In public debate is often based on a misperception, that oil is used for cars, hence cars are cause of pollution and global warming. So if we buy EVs problem is solved.FDAD wrote: βWed Jul 28, 2021 9:50 pmputting that into perspective really is something to laugh about... A full year of driving in 1,50h.... Reality is that energy for personal transport is only a fraction of the problem hence EVs also only help a little bit
The good side, it's not a problem to make electricity for EVs as some state as they won't use much of it compared to other sectors.
Edit: for perspective. The power used by Bitcoin, alone would be enough to propel 43million cars 15000km each year (2021). And that's just a pyramid scam
I see air quality as big benefit and all the parts that didn't need to be produced + shipped + oil derivatives that are needed for convencional cars as the main appeal... It's not just being EV that helps.. it's a complete chain of events that gets stopped. Even the lorries that no longer need to be used to transport fuel.Trykpaa wrote: βThu Jul 29, 2021 7:43 amIn public debate is often based on a misperception, that oil is used for cars, hence cars are cause of pollution and global warming. In Estonia we have 3 of them registered. One is dealerβs personal. And there is one ballet dancer and me. i have driven 13 000kms in 7 months.
Bad things:
1. App and connectivity does not exist in Baltic States. It was promised but still nothing.
2. There are one disturbing bug, windows tend to move slightly and randomly during driving. Week silence and then some days 20-30 times per drive one millimeter up and down.
3. Rattle sounds behind mirrior and dashboard.
4. Battary could be bigger.
5. I fell in love with demo design back in 2017 which was brilliant. The current design is some kind of inbreeding or love making between brilliant designers and stupid marketing guys who forced it to have bunch of doors and weird proportions, lost the digital grille interface and made it oldschool-ordinary instead of being a car from the future, the prototype was. Of course we still love it, but the prototype was beautyful. Not just cute harmless panda bear.
Good things:
1. Driving better than anything else. I drove Range Rovers, Land Cruiser, CR-Vs, Civics new and old, CR-Z, i3, Peugeot 2008, and i still love it the most. The wight, 50-50 balange, the chassis, best Iβve ever had.
2. Comfort inside. I drive 130km distances between 2 towns and some longer 150-220km trips with fast charging stops as well, and I still prefer e, instead of my other car CRV hybrid 2020. More comfort while sitting there. Magic.
3. I hope thad the embarrising charging speed on 6kw single phase results in better battary health after the years. I try to charge up to 90%.
4. The space - no kidding - with back seat folded down I transport 3.3m boat, 4hp outboard motor, hiking equipement and all the stuff I need for hiking. My sonβs bicycle fits inside just fine.
5. Digital mirriors. Worth every penny. Every friend who has been in the car has made a story of the mirriors and commented how sharp the picture is.
6. Vanity and validation. Some magnetism it has. This car gets more looks than any other i have had. 5-6 times strangers have come to talk in parking lot and ask questions. Maybe only CRZ got the same amount back in 2010.
Honda feels like a talented kid who has not been engouraged enough and now has some kind of inferiority complex as an adult. They tend to discontinue many promising products. Iβm afraid e goes the same way. But I hope not. I hope there will be 2nd gen looking like a prototype, and some bigger battery options will come, too naive but who kept echoing about the power of dreams, eh?:)

I had the same. Apparently it's the rubber gasket which can get out of place, preventing the window from closing properly, hence it keeps trying. I corrected our gasket and gave it a bit of silicone, and haven't had any problems since (half a year).
