Hello advance2020,
Just to be clear my post wasn't a dig at all people using 3-pin chargers. You clearly know what you are doing, know what to look out for, and have taken additional steps to be extra safe.
My point is that if a car is supplied with a 3-pin only, whatever other documentation says, it sends a message that it is fine in all situations. Send out enough cars like that and eventually the stars will align with someone who doesn't know what to look out for or avoid, and poor or old wiring that never before has had to deal with 2kW for hours on end. Throw in a little bit of bad luck and it could end in easily avoidable negative press for the car and EVs in general.
