Am I the only one who is annoyed by the blue light that pulses all the time the e is being charged? It's not subtle and as I charge almost exclusively at home overnight on Octopus Go it lights up the vicinity as if some UAP has landed and is conducting post-landing checks. I've even had neighbours comment. I wish there were some means of turning it off. I've resorted to covering it with a strip of plastic blu-tacked over the light.

I agree that it's annoying & totally pointless, luckily for me we have a street light right outside our house which stays on until 1am and my cheap rate tarrif ends at 00:30, so at least it's not flashing when it's pitch black and therefore not too noticeable by the neighbours.

I can imagine that it is annoying, but I think it has something. I would have liked to have some sound with it. Something like UFO or something like that. 👽

I think VW have got a good solution with the ID models and the light at the bottom of the windscreen with it's SoC indicator.

There is always

Also great if you don't like leaves in your charging port.

I had the same problem, and now use the official charge port cover as bogga suggests.
When I first charged the car at night, from inside the house it looked as if the Police had arrived!

I don't have this problem, as I charge overnight in my Garage, and have never been out at night to watch it! However I do find the light useful during the day, to confirm I’m plugged in ok, and Public Charger is working ok. BP Pulse App takes an age to Start up old Polar posts, and some Rapids have little feedback, if your CCS is not throughly push home.

Also know other Owners, who have invested in the Charge Port Cover, as it keeps rain, leaves etc out of the housing. So probably worth getting one in the UK.

PS: keep meaning to take a large white sheet, to cover my car, when charging at Tesco PodPoints - rarely see any ID3 or ID4 charging - maybe One to date

I think Honda forgot about snow because on the rare occasions we get snow in the UK it's a problem on the Honda.
Last year my charge port filled up with snow overnight & by the morning had frozen solid with the charging cable into a block of ice. Luckily it had melted when I needed to unplug the cable the next day.
